Astana – Independence Monument

The use of the finite element method (FEM) made it possible to model the monument's behavior in detail under various earthquake scenarios. This approach allowed us to identify the most vulnerable areas of the structure and propose optimal strengthening solutions.

Particular emphasis was placed on the foundation of the structure. FEM modeling was used to calculate the interaction between the foundation and the soil, as well as the effectiveness of additional seismic isolation measures to reduce the transmission of seismic vibrations to the structure.
